Focus Helix Academy Co., Ltd. was registered in Bangkok in 2013. Malai Chanthara had spent the previous eight years marking daily bars for a family office on Silom. She wanted a room where the same reading could be taught slowly, on paper a student could take home, instead of on a whiteboard that was wiped at six.
The first Thursday held six people and one printed chart. The company took the room at 77/3 Phaya Thai Rd, Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400 the same year and has taught there since. Kittisak Boonmee joined in 2017, first to clip sheets, then to lead the Saturday Bar Clinic. The four-week workshop took its present shape in 2019, when Malai stopped mixing beginners and returning students on the same evening.
Malai completed the technical-analysis module of a local securities course in 2008. The academy does not manage money and does not write forecasts for hire. The registered business is teaching people to read charts in the room.
How an evening is run
Paper before talk
The chart pack is on the table when you sit down. Malai speaks after the page has been looked at, not before. Questions wait until the bar has been named.
English at the table
Instruction is in English, which is how the Silom desk Malai came from kept its blotter. Thai is welcome in the break. The written prompts in the workbook are English.
Principal reader. Leads the Chart Reading Workshop and the Wednesday sittings. She still marks a daily bar of her own before the room opens.
Saturday clinic lead. He keeps the paper stock, the second copies, and the list of who has paid a deposit.
